Ireland is the sixth highest consumer of beer per capita in the world after the Czech Republic, Namibia, Austria, Germany, and Poland. On average, the Irish consume 131.1 liters of beer per year, putting them at 4th place in the world for highest per-capita beer consumption.

Rutka Laskier, a Jewish girl from Poland who died in Auschwitz at the age of 14, wrote a diary describing her experiences under Nazi occupation. Her diary was published in 2006 and she has become known as the “Polish Anne Frank.”

There are buffalo in Poland. They live mainly in the area of the Bialowieza Forest and are known as zubra. The well-known Polish vodka Zubrowka, which means “buffalo brand,: takes its name from these animals.
